A PEACEFUL PLACE TO LEARN

Jacaranda Tree Montessori is a delightful place for your child to explore with all their senses.

The classroom is designed exactly for them with everything at their height, engaging activities for them to build concentration and refine their skills, and a safe place for them to learn how to be in community with others.

Located on Brouwersgracht in Centrum near the Haarlemmerplein, we love our beautiful, calm and cosy space. Hope you can join us!

I love helping families bring Montessori into their lives and seeing the children exploring with wonder, and their parents growing alongside them too.

You come along with your child for the 2-hour session and learn alongside them how to apply the Montessori principles at home so your family can benefit from the Montessori approach 24/7. They can also come with a grandparent or other caregiver.

We are an inclusive space—everyone is welcome.

I would never be able to find the right words to describe how important the Jacaranda and Simone Davies playgroup are to our family. Simone is supportive and kind and she is just special. We really enjoyed it. Very much indeed. It’s hard to say who liked more, me or him. Every week we learned more and more. I learned to observe my son, to follow him, to trust him… it’s beautiful to see how independent and confident toddlers are when they are respected and listened to. I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to be in such an inspiring and welcoming environment. I met incredible people and it was an amazing experience.

We travel from Utrecht once a week for this special play time, and have attended parenting workshops given by Simone. Excellent. Not sure who has benefited more – mom and dad, or the little one! It’s helped me to learn to trust our little one and his abilities. And he feels better too, because, who doesn’t like to feel trusted? Highly recommended.

There is a reason that people travel from the other side of the city to attend Jacaranda Tree sessions, and a reason that the classes have a wait-list of eager parents. This isn’t an ordinary playgroup, it’s something quite unique and I am incredibly grateful that our family got to be a part of it. My daughter has definitely created wonderful memories and learned a lot of new skills. The environment is well thought out following Montessori principles, it’s a calming and inviting atmosphere. For me it has been amazing to be part of it, since it has taught me so much about my daughter and about Montessori ideas. Simone is very knowledgeable and is able to guide both parents and children in a calming manner with genuine care and respect, and also able to transmit her knowledge with expertise by giving timely advice and tips.
