My favourite playdough
To make the best playdough, you usually have to cook it which gets very messy. But this recipe uses boiling water and you just stir, some kneading, and two minutes later, lovely playdough.
1 cup flour
2 tablespoons cream of tartar*
1 tablespoon cooking oil
1/2 cup salt
¾ cup boiling water (add the water slowly to see how much you need)
food colouring*
1. Get kids to add ingredients, stir together and knead until smooth.
2. Store in sealed container or zip lock bags. Does not need to be refrigerated.

* You can find this at Toko stores or Duikelmann
* In Dutch, cream of tartar is called “wijnsteenpoeder” but it often turns out sticky. Best to stick to cream of tartar. I find this one ok here.
